Dhoop / Hanuman Dhoop String
The formula for this dhoop has been handed down in handwritten
tantric texts that have been preserved by a Nepali Rajpat
Brahmin family for over 350 years. It uses only Ayurvedic
herbs believed to be very pleasing to Lord Hanuman-ji.
Dhoop has very good purifying properties and is often
used during puja: it expels negative feelings, calms the
mind, has good health properties, and softens the environment.
The string dhoop is made by sprinkling Ayurvedic herbs
onto very fine paper and then rolling the paper into a
string for burning. The stick dhoop contains no wood.
