Maharaj-ji’s Prasad Dining Hall

“God comes to the poor in the form of food.”

“Feed Everyone”

The Neem Karoli Baba Ashram is delighted to share the progress on a long-anticipated project: the construction of a dedicated indoor space for serving Maharaj-jis prasad to the many devotees who come daily to receive His blessings.

The envisioned Prasad Dining Hall will be a 1600 sq. ft. building, featuring covered portals on the West and South sides to accommodate additional outdoor dining. The design will harmonize thoughtfully with the local architectural style and the aesthetic of the Ashram’s existing structures.

While its primary purpose is dining, the space is intended to be multifunctional, allowing for:

  • Outdoor and indoor gatherings for devotees and visitors

  • Satsang, kirtan, yoga, or talks in a serene and accommodating environment

  • Flexible use with folding tables and chairs that will be stored in built-in cupboards

The Prasad Dining Hall will include:

  • A dedicated serving area for prasad

  • Facilities such as a commercial dishwasher, sinks, and ample storage for plates, utensils, and other essentials

This project aims to enhance the experience of those who come to receive Maharaj-jis prasad, offering comfort and utility while maintaining the sacred atmosphere of the Ashram.

The projected cost for this transformative addition is estimated at approximately $800,000

By Maharaj-ji’s Grace, we are confident in bringing this vision to life, serving His devotees with greater ease and comfort.

Your support and blessings are integral to this effort. Stay tuned for updates on this exciting project!

Prasad Dining Hall Update

Dear Beloveds,

As many of you know, the Ashram is in the process of raising funds to build a new Prasad Dining Hall. With the continued growth in the number of devotees visiting—particularly on weekends, when we often see over 300 visitors each day—having a dedicated space to serve and partake of prasad has become a clear necessity.

Currently, we do not have an indoor space that can adequately accommodate this growing community. This becomes especially challenging during winter months or periods of inclement weather, when devotees have no sheltered place to sit and enjoy their prasad comfortably.

The plans for the new Dining Hall are nearly complete, and the Ashram will soon begin applying for the necessary construction permits. With His Grace, we hope to begin construction this summer and to have the facility ready for use by the summer of 2026. This will only be possible if the needed funds can be raised in time.

Maharaj-ji said, “All the money in the world is mine, even the money in America.” We are all stewards of His abundance, and with His Grace—and the generosity of His devotees—we are hopeful that the first installment goal of $250,000 will be met this summer so that construction can begin. As of may 25, 2025, $125,245. has been donated for the construction, and $124,755. is still needed to begin construction

The designs for the new Prasad Dining Hall are below. Please take a look, and if you have any questions or would like more information, feel free to reach out to me at hanumandas1@gmail.com.

Ashram General fund Donations

All By His Grace

The Neem Karoli Baba Ashram and Hanuman Temple in Taos, New Mexico, is devoted to the teachings of Neem Karoli Baba: love everyone, serve everyone, remember God, and tell the truth.

The ashram is open daily from 6:45 a.m. to 8:00 p.m., with aarti offered morning and evening. It provides a sacred space for pilgrims to connect with the Source of All through meditation, chanting, satsang, and selfless service within a loving community.

Daily activities include morning and evening aarti, the serving of prasad, and hosting festivals throughout the year. During the summer, much of the food comes from our permaculture farm. To reach a broader audience, the ashram offers live streams of daily aarti, temple festivals, and weekly chanting and shares stories and photographs of Maharaj-ji and His devotees online.

The Neem Karoli Baba Ashram is sustained through the generosity of devotees, sales from the Puja Dukan store, and occasional fundraisers like auctions and raffles. All donations to the General Fund are deeply appreciated and directly support the ashram’s operations.

Donations are tax-deductible as permitted by law, as the ashram is recognized as a 501(c)(3) church under IRS regulations. Receipts for donations are sent by mail or email.

The ashram’s mission is to provide a sanctuary for all seekers…
