Ram Ram, Dear Satsang,We miss seeing all of you in person and hope this finds you and your loved ones safe and healthy. With the uncertain future of the coronavirus pandemic and a deep desire to support and protect our community, the ashram’s Board of Directors and management have made the challenging decision to cancel the upcoming Guru Purnima festival at the temple (scheduled for July 3rd – 5th). This will include postponement of the Ram Dass Celebration of Life (scheduled for July 5th) to a date sometime in the future when it is safe to gather again. However, We will be hosting a VIRTUAL Guru Purnima Saturday July 4th. Click Here for more details. In addition to the cancellation of this festival, the ashram will also remain fully closed until such time as it is deemed fully safe to reopen to visitors. We are beginning development of a phased re-open plan that will allow us to slowly and gradually allow access to parts of the ashram in a safe way. To create this, we are following the guidance of the New Mexico and Taos county governments and the advice of experts and will share details and timelines in the coming months. We are satsang, and if any of you have special needs or know of any one who is in need let us know if there is some way we can be of assistance. In the meantime, we are finding new ways to come together online in this time of physical distancing. We are planning on having virtual gatherings on July 4th and 5th for Guru Purnima and in celebration of Ram Dass’ life, details on this will be released shortly on our website, Facebook, and email. Additionally, we are continuing to livestream our twice daily aartis and have been posting and livestreaming daily on our Facebook page. We hope you’ll join us there, it’s been great having a way to hear from and connect with satsang from around the world.
